Job Description
Nexstar Digital seeks a smart, creative, and highly focused Head of National Sales to drive revenue and manage the national digital sales team . Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales , she or he will be expected to create and expand relationships at the regional, and national levels, and will therefore possess a deep understanding of the regional market s as well as the national advertising marketplace.

The successful candidate will sell sophisticated digital media and cross-platform programs to a territory of associations, corporations, and advertising agencies , incorporating
O&O media ( all media types: Display, Digital Video, OTT, Native, Social) , sponsored and branded content, Data and
OTT . As such, she or he will be well-versed in developing creative solutions for potential partners , and lead the sales team to creative selling, that meet and enhance their business objectives and will exhibit the solutions-based approach and high-touch professionalism that properly reflects the culture of Nexstar Digital .

Critically, the Head of National Sales will be a digitally savvy sales leader and a consultative manager who is driven, strategic and accountable. S he or he will have a keen interest in and knowledge of v arious key industries , advertising trends , and the happenings in their territory . S he or he will infuse professionalism, energy, and creativity into the sales organization, adding perspective and value to the existing team.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead National Digital Sales team to cultivate partnerships, grow revenue, ensure high retention rate and onboard new clients
• Lead weekly sales meetings; effectively communicating Nexstar Digital strategic objectives, ensure accountability and tracking against objectives
• Manage team pipeline and forecast; meet with sales executives weekly to ensure effective pipeline management against goals; forecast accurately with strong grasp of team pipeline
• Work with multiple divisions to ensure ongoing sales education against market trends and capitalize on Nexstar Digitals portfolio to drive revenue
• Building and executing against a strategic and aggressive plan to grow revenue in each territory by bringing in new partners while also optimizing existing relationships through up -sells and cross-sells
• Consult SVP of Sales on National Sales opportunities; help craft strategy to capture market share and ensure profitability
• Selling multiplatform programs across digital, programmatic , and
OTT/CTV
• Identifying creative and original streams of sponsorship revenue and strategically cultivating relationships to secure deals
• Managing a team
of senior-level sales executives ensuring proper position for revenue growth and business development ,
• Demonstrating a keen understanding of client/partner needs, marketplace, and competitors
• Collaborating with the marketing team s to create necessary sales collateral to capitalize on updated national trends
• Communicating extensively and effectively with both clients and internal teams
• Ensure our Sales Executives are c reating and sustaining strong relationships with clients
• Consistently lead team to exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals

our sales executives on opportunities with an understanding of their needs and how to best partner in order to achieve those objectives
• Experienced in creating compelling, thoughtful, and unique proposals to engage potential clients and spark consultative conversation
• Naturally both competitive and collaborative
• Respectful of both colleagues and clients; a person of impeccable integrity

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required . MBA preferred.

Training/Equipment: Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Work Environment/ Mental/ Physical Requirements: Fast-paced
office environment with deadlines. Successful candidates are comfortable with day-to-day multi-tasking, as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously with frequent change in direction and priority. After all, it is digital.
