Job Description
KOLR10 is looking for an Executive Producer to lead our ''Daybreak'' team in Springfield, Missouri. Our next manager will be the driving force behind 2-hours of morning news. We need someone with a passion for storytelling and a focus on excellence. Our next EP must be a team builder and a good listener. The position also requires the EP to produce our 30-minute Midday newscast.
*Lead the conversation about coverage in a clear and focused direction to create insightful, meaningful content
*Execute strategies for content that will engage and grow audiences on-air and on-line
*Responsible for evaluating rundowns, story selection, story pitches, story development and lead stories
*Ready to lead and help the newsroom during special coverage for breaking news or big events
*Ensure that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity, legal validity and production quality
*Manage schedules and help manage the monthly sweeps calendar

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent
• 1-2 years producing experience in a television newsroom
• Detail oriented
• Strong communicator
• Excellent writing skills
• Solid news judgment and journalistic integrity
• Ability to understand computer technology
