PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• The Director will be responsible for directing daily newscasts, live teases, promotions, studio generated productions and remote telecast. The Director will interact with the newscast producers to understand the content, tone, structure, and pace of each show.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of studio broadcasting technology including automated production control systems, servers, graphics systems, and editing.
• The ideal candidate will understand automation as it interfaces with production switchers, audio consoles, video server play-out and Chyron.
• Responsible for the on-air product as produced. Directing, Master Control Hub operations, Media Management, commercial ingest, program recording, and satellite receiving.
• Candidate should be a problem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and work around problems that arise during a live broadcast.
• Must have time specific organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet hard deadlines.
• Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others under intense pressure and/or long hours of breaking news coverage.
• A solid understanding of Windows and general computer knowledge required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Electronic Media Production is preferred.

Evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays will be a part of the schedule.
