Director, Credit & Collections

Job Description

Content Distribution seeks a Director of Credit and Collections for a full-time staff position.

Director of Credit and Collections, Content Distribution, is responsible for managing the Retransmission and Cable Distribution revenue for Nexstar Broadcasting's portfolio of stations. The Director of Credit and Collections plays an integral role in ensuring the accuracy and timely entry of all revenue.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of five analysts regarding all monthly affiliate revenue and cash responsibilities.
• Manage monthly billing, including the invoicing and revenue adjustment recognition.
• Ensure proper general ledger entries are created for accurate revenue recognition and AR balances.
• Manage operator customer service, from billing questions to collecting outstanding invoices.
• Manage relationship with external vendor related to billing software.
• Communicate with management across all departments to assist with revenue questions, as well as forecasting.
• Develop and implement projects to provide thorough information to management and upgrade database.
• Prepare daily/monthly reconciliations between billing software, GL and the bank.
• Provide timely and appropriate support to VP as needed for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Support Affiliate Sales and Client Services groups and Corporate Finance on as-needed basis.
• Provide in-depth, accurate and relevant cash receipt and billing data to assist all internal clients: Network/Stations, Finance, Legal, Affiliate Sales/Marketing and Operations.
• Assist Director FP&A in the preparation of annual budgets/forecasts and quarterly forecast/projection updates.
• Provide assistance for an internal/external audits, policy and procedure changes/review, as well as support of all SOX testing and balance sheet reconciliations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Prior experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred
• Database entry experience
• Strong customer service background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
