Telemundo Valle Central in Bakersfield has an opening for a newscast producer who is fluent in Spanish and an expert in Spanish grammar.

This is a full-time, permanent entry-level job in Bakersfield, 100 miles north of Los Angeles.

This is a terrific job for a behind-the-scenes journalist who loves using the written word to tell a good story and make the world a better place.

The successful candidate will be fluent in Spanish and an expert in Spanish grammar. This is a job for someone who studied Spanish syntax in college.

The person we hire will be able to write news stories for television and for our webpage in flawless Spanish. He or she will be able to read Spanish aloud.

The job requires English fluency for the successful candidate to interact with our English-only colleagues on our sister station, KGET NBC/Bakersfield.

Telemundo Valle Central broadcasts two hours of local news every weekday. Our station is owned by Nexstar Media Group and provides industry standard wages and benefits.
