Job Description
WGN-TV is looking for an Associate Producer to assist producers and assignment editors in all areas of their work.

Responsibilities:
• Contribute ideas for stories and segments
• Book guests and produce interviews for broadcast
• Support newscast producers, including searching and selecting stories for shows, researching background for segments, writing teases and ordering graphics
• Work with reporters on elements needed for packages and live shots
• Serve as a fill-in show producer when needed

Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or previous newsroom experience preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong news judgment and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work a schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays
