Job Description
NewsNation is looking to hire a full-time bureau News Photographer/Editor based in Washington, DC. We want on our team someone who is proficient in shooting and edit and ably partners with a correspondent and producer team to craft stories which are accurate and compelling. The person must have a strong work-ethic, be a self-starter, a clear communicator, and a team player.

The news photographer will travel to cover regional stories in and around the District of Columbia, however, the team may also be dispatched to cover stories nationally or in some cases internationally as well.

Duties to include:
-Shoot video for news reports
-Edit reporter packages and elements for television broadcasts and digital use on Adobe Premiere
-Familiarity with BitCentral & Latakoo helpful but not required
- Shoot active and dynamic live shots in various settings
-Maintain video equipment and other gear
-Operate portable live unit and ENG trucks in remote situations
-Perform other duties as assigned
-Travel will be required

Requirements & Skills:
-Minimum five years' experience of news gathering
-Degree in communications preferred or related experience
-Valid driver's license
-Ability to lift and carry equipment in the range of 50 lbs. in weight
-Basic knowledge of live truck operation
-Good communications skills with sound editorial judgement
