Job Description
The New York Yankees are seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join the accounting operations team. This person will report to the Assistant Controller and will be based at the New York Yankees' Tampa, FL facilities.

Primary Responsibilities: • • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Provide support in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assist senior accounting staff in annual budget preparation.
• Assist in maintenance of company-wide expense reporting system (SAP Concur). To include preparation of Ad-Hoc expense reports, modifications to system set-up and daily maintenance (account activation, training, and support to staff members organization-wide).
• Expense report processing on bi-weekly basis. Includes reimbursement processing and credit card transaction reconciliation entries.
• Assist with company-wide employee credit card program maintenance including adding and deletion of accounts, trouble shooting and potential fraud disputes.
• Detail fixed asset schedules for all entities including New York, Tampa, and DR Operations. Task to include tracking of expenditures versus annual capital budgets, and assistance in preparation of annual Tangible Tax filing.
• Prepare and enter payroll journal entries relating to gameday staffing. Responsibility to include detailed tracking of event labor.
• Receivable account reconciliations, invoice preparation and employee deduction form preparation.
• Provide assistance during the interim, and year-end audits, in providing documentation support to external audit team.
• Additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned by senior accounting team members.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• A minimum of 1-2 years accounting experience
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel & PowerPoint
• SAP Concur experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamentals of accounting
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate and interact with co-workers and outside vendors/partners
• Demonstrated initiative, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion (Spring Training)
• Strong ability to create and thrive in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to work in-office on a regular basis. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work especially during Spring training season (mid Feb-March).
