The Job
NetherRealm Studios, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks a Senior Artist, Marketing to be responsible for creating high quality AAA marketing assets, social media creative, and other marketing materials for high profile game title(s). This is an individual contributor position and requires a full understanding of lighting, value structure, composition, contrapposto/character weighting and posing, basic animation principles and all aesthetic sensibilities required in creating industry competitive marketing visuals. In addition, candidate should have a strong understanding of current and next gen game pipelines and associated technology and software. A portfolio/demo reel demonstrating an ability to create high quality in game visuals and/or marketing materials and concept/illustrations is required.

The Daily
• Conceive, develop, and execute AAA marketing materials to include in-game screenshots, character renders, promotional materials and social media creative.
• In conjunction with Marketing team and Art Director, help establish the creative direction for public facing visual ID for all NetherRealm games.
• Develop and maintain deadlines and production schedules for Marketing Art projects.
• Oversight and development of other Marketing Artist(s) on the team.
• Manage day to day communication and tasking with art outsourcing pipeline.

The Essentials
• Strong background in traditional/fundamental art principles including: excellent color theory, composition, lighting, and realistic character posing skills
• Solid understanding of anatomy
• Wide understanding of lighting/rendering technologies.
• Familiar with Maya (or a leading 3D modeling package ) , Photoshop and has the capacity to learn new tools, and artistic method.
• Shows an able understanding of fundamental technical topics, capable of implementing them into their workflow to execute assignments.
• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge and general interest in the Video Game Industry
• Experience designing for a variety of Social Media Platforms
