The Content Finance Product team is solving some of the most crucial problems in the Netflix Content Studio ecosystem. We build technologies to power how Netflix plans, budgets, funds, and accounts for our billion-dollar investment in making the best content for our members every year.

We are searching for a UX researcher to join our nimble, dynamic, and collaborative Content Finance Product Design team and be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, and socializing product concept and usability research studies in close partnership with our designers and product managers. We are seeking insights to better understand how our in-house tools/ technologies are being used, where any gaps may exist in functionality, and determine if the experience with the software is friction-free, meets product goals.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Conceptualize and conduct end-to-end research on our finance tooling ecosystem.
• Partner with Design, Product Management, Engineers, Consumer Insights, and Data Scientists to create a learning and testing plan.
• Evaluate users' goals and motivations to improve tool adoption.
• Engage internal and external partners worldwide to uncover pain points, unmet needs, or workarounds that inspire innovations that support end-to-end workflows and collaboration between studio team members.
• Define and facilitate design thinking workshops to foster cross-functional collaboration, action your research, and inform experiences that reflect a clearly defined problem.
• Influence product decisions by encouraging creative thinking that creates major movement or shifts our direction, preventing us from making uninformed decisions or wasting resources, and improving the studio experience for our in-house and external partners

The Ideal Background:
• 3+ years leading usability and product concept research supporting innovation or development such as ethnographic, UX/Product, or design research
• Experience with corporate financial and tax systems and workflows
• Clear, demonstrable experience as a product researcher or similar role, on a complex B2B workflow or enterprise tool suite with a proven record of seeing products from concept to delivery
• Effective verbal and written communication style distilling complex multi-method research reports into understandable, compelling, and actionable insights
• Experience in or passion for the filmmaking industry
• Ability to frequently travel between Los Angeles and Los Gatos to meet with stakeholders
