The Opportunity

This travel specialist role is to support the EMEA Corporate team and manage a concierge-level service delivery of travel for our employees as well as our candidate and relocation travellers. There are no VIPs at Netflix: we all give each and every traveler a bespoke level of attention in arranging their travel.

The Role

The Travel Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that our travelers' and travel arrangers' travel needs are seamlessly met. The Travel Specialist works with a team of Travel consultants to provide day-to-day assistance, is the first point of contact for team members and responds to questions, providing direction on guidelines, workflow and best practices. The role will require you to closely partner with our internal stakeholders, such as Executive Assistants, Events, employees in various departments and external contacts to fulfil complex travel requests and will be the primary contact for all of our employees in our EMEA offices. The Travel Specialist will report to the Travel Manager - EMEA.

Responsibilities
• Seeks opportunities to review operational processes and provides suggestions for improvement. Partner closely with the Travel Manager and travel agency to implement.
• Partners closely with and has the ability to multi-task to manage the travel agency.
• Partners closely with all Travel Specialists globally and travel agency to ensure that the Follow-the-Sun model is applied consistently across all regions and all verticals.
• Partners closely with all Travel Specialists globally to align and ensure consistency on all strategies, workflows and service levels for corporate, candidate and relocation verticals.
• Partners close with internal stakeholders to support and ensure Netflix Travel is providing the best travel experience .
• Support Travel Managers in stakeholder engagement, education and feedback sessions. Incorporate into new processes, workflows and tooling where necessary.
• Partners closely with Travel Manager to hold Onboarding training sessions monthly for Travel for new employees.
• Provides feedback, direction, coaching and mentoring to the team of travel consultants.
• Manages and is always available for the day-to-day needs of the team.
• Provides assistance and direction to the team in a timely manner.
• Ensures team members are kept up to date with new procedures, workflow and announcements.
• Performs quality management such as error management.
• Assists in projects as assigned (e.g. implementations)
• Implements travel support services for new office and/or country expansions with region. Train other regions on protocols and processes to support such expansions.
• Monitors and researches errors to determine the root cause, recommends, executes solutions and provides feedback.
• Builds knowledge base in collaboration with Travel Agency Operations Manager, including A to Z guides and how-to guides for onboarding new Travel consultants for Netflix managed applications/products and systems.
• Works with Hotel Sourcing Coordinator to oversee any group/event travel alongside agents.
• Works closely with Visa Coordinator to ensure all Visa and Immigration requests are being fulfilled alongside agents.
• Assist with billing and T&E reconciliations and Direct Billing as needed.
• Seeks opportunities to proactively help team members and volunteers for adhoc and additional projects and tasks

Qualifications
• Experience (10+ years) working in a Travel Agency in a Team leader's role.
• Experience (3+ years) working with high volume concierge level travel.
• Knowledgeable in the nuances of working with high-touch travelers and arrangers in a thoughtful, solution-oriented manner.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume ever-changing and highly collaborative environment.
• Comfortable with new technologies.
• GDS knowledge and Sabre skills (preferred).
• Organized, organized, organized - i.e. there's a label on your label maker - and meticulous about the details.
• Confident and able to express ideas thoughtfully and with passion.
• Strong and clear communication skills
• Thorough, completes tasks in a timely manner and follows up.
• Able to work independently
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadlines and pressure
• Able to express ideas thoughtfully and with passion.
• Able to anticipate potential issues and knows when to ask for help.
• Ability to work on call, as the world of travel is not always a 9-5 job.
