Job Description
Across all types of projects, Netflix strives to optimize content quality and longevity without compromising efficiency and creative vision. The Production Technology team shepherds this effort by setting our studio standards, defining best practices and aiding our productions to adapt and adhere to them.

As part of the Netflix Production Technology & Operations team, focusing on the responsibilities of the Technologists, the coordinator aims to pave the road for the team to do their work more efficiently and effectively. While Technologists on the team offer their direct support to production crews and internal and external post and physical production teams, the coordinator works to streamline and maintain team communication and alignment. The coordinator helps track new projects, industry standards and tools, develop team initiatives and, as the central point of communication, is fully aware of each team member's whereabouts and challenges so that work gets finished, published and broadcast in time.

The larger PT&O team is a globally operating team, with Technologists in all major regions. The coordinator plays a pivotal role in keeping this global team connected and cementing critical cross-functional partnerships.

As part of the Production Technology & Operations team, you will:
• Actively track what topics and initiatives are being worked on by Technologists to keep the team aligned and informed.
• Help integrate new internal productivity and collaboration tools for the team (in close collaboration with our Project Managers in Creative Technology and the global PT&O team).
• Assist the team with research, documentation and logistics on their projects.
• Maintain internal Netflix tracking tools ensuring there is sufficient PT&O representation on our Titles.
• Coordinate team meetings and events.
• Facilitate and track the progress of strategic initiatives driven by the PT&O UCAN team and Creative Technologies.
• Create and curate articles, documents and other support resources to educate creative partners and vendors about our requirements and initiatives.
• Stay on top of industry news and events, ensuring essential news items are shared internally.
• Devise and carry out strategies to achieve our global goals.
• Represent the Netflix PT&O team internally to cross-functional teams within the studio.

Requirements:
• At least 3-years of film/TV/media production or post-production experience combined with strong project management skills.
• Passion to lead challenging projects with ambiguous parameters and many different types of stakeholders. The ability to listen and evaluate many viewpoints, then take initiative and set your own direction.
• The ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities. You should be comfortable with having to pivot quickly when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative demeanor. We often write and edit documentation together, leave comments for each other, and hold discussions in-person (when we can) and remotely.
• A drive to solve creative problems using technology. Some tools we currently use include Slack, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets), Airtable, and Coda.
• A basic understanding of image capture, production and post-production workflows and best practices.
• A proactive approach to getting things done and strong opinions on how to get there. You're willing to blaze your own path and find your own resources, relentlessly learning and digging into root causes, and reliably leading projects in a way that inspires others to follow.
