Senior Software Engineer, Partner Assessment Experience

The Partner Assessment Experience team is responsible for developing solutions that enable the assessment of Netflix integrations done by partnering companies. We are focused on providing internal and external tools that can help us and partners answer the question ''Does it work the way that we think it should?''

We are looking for a senior software engineer to drive innovation in developer productivity and assessment tooling. In this role, the impact of this work will enable engineering teams to integrate, test, and monitor the Netflix streaming app that runs on TVs, streaming sticks, and other ''10 foot'' devices; Netflix API integrations; and Netflix games experiences. This is an opportunity to help shape the foundations of how Netflix applications find their way onto devices in the living rooms and hands of people worldwide.

The types of projects we work on include full-stack web applications that provide for manual and automated test management, execution, and reporting for multiple domains; automatic test plan generation based on properties of the thing being tested; and developer productivity tooling to aid in the release and monitoring of testing solutions written by domain experts. You will build assessment workflow tooling as a platform to enable the scaling of Netflix integration activities across multiple teams within the company and outside of Netflix.

What you will be doing:
• Design, build and deliver tools, CI pipelines, build systems, APIs, Dashboards, and other integrations and solutions that will accelerate internal and external Netflix integration workflows across domains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability.
• Codify and improve integration assessment strategies in an evolving partner integration space.
• Inspire and encourage behavior through frameworks and ''engineering economies,'' not rules and process.

What we are looking for:
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Passion for developer productivity tooling.
• Strong generalist (self described jack-of-all-trades) software developer with a breadth of experience in one or more of DevOps/CICD/Application Development/System Administration/SRE.
• Strong programming skills. Java/Javascript/Typescript/NodeJS are a plus.
• Experience maintaining and improving legacy systems in addition to green-field development.
• Can evaluate and speak to tradeoffs concerning refactor vs rebuild vs buy.
• Driven by solving problems for yourself and others with a bias towards automation and reduction of manual work.

Nice to have:
• Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
• Experience with development of Test Management Systems and QA software a plus
