Senior Software Engineer (Pipeline Foundations)

We've become one of the largest entertainment studios in the world, creating new original content at an incredible pace. The Studio Innovation product team is front and center of this growth. We build software that fuels the production and creation of Netflix content. The Animation Studio Technology team within Studio Innovation builds products that power the Netflix Animation Studio ecosystem. Netflix is on a path to release six animated feature films per year, which no major studio has ever done, on top of the very healthy slate of animation series.

In this role, you'll have a direct impact on how animation is produced on a global scale. The Pipeline Foundations team designs and builds connected services and APIs powering a suite of artist-facing applications. People who do well on this team embrace change, demonstrate ownership, and are invigorated by the greenfield opportunities.

In This Role You Will:
• Empower Creative artists across the globe to tell unique stories in novel ways
• Design and build foundational tools and APIs to enable developers and technical artists
• Leverage existing Netflix technology via cross-functional partnerships.
• Work with other senior, high-performing engineers so you will constantly be learning and sharpening your skillset
• Collaborate with product managers and designers, and content creators to build exciting new features

What We Are Looking For:
• Previous experience designing pipeline architecture for large scale VFX/Animation workflows
• Expert level python required, C++ and web stack desirable
• Previous experience designing APIs for other developers
• Ability to distill and communicate complex concepts cross-functionally
• Independent, proactive, and able to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance
• Empathy for users and the ability to train and mentor other developers.
• Curious to learn new technologies and flexible in confronting a variety of work
