About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and has a passion for executing high-touch events and experiences across a growing slate of content. An ideal candidate is a creative self-starter who will work alongside the Pan-Regional PR team to oversee high profile campaigns across premieres, fan engagements, tastemaker experiences, press junkets and consumer activations. We're seeking a collaborator who is excited to explore new, different and innovative ways to drive conversations through events and experiences.

You will need to be a stunning collaborator, with a track record of producing high impact events and driving integrated experiential programs across Publicity, Content, Marketing, and Social Media. You should understand all aspects of creating disruptive and memorable live and virtual events with a strong network of agency contacts in the region. Experience engaging with talent and high profile partners required.

The work:
• Manage and execute the delivery of strategic in-person, virtual, and hybrid events and experiences across a diverse range of audiences including our members, fandoms, tastemakers, industry stakeholders and more
• Partner with key stakeholders across multiple functions (including Pan-Regional or country publicists, Photo & AV Studio, Editorial & Publishing and Marketing) to ensure a fully integrated event and promotional plan
• Sourcing and managing external vendors, agencies and production partners (e.g. event and creative agencies and online platform providers)
• Owning close partnerships with appointed agencies, and managing budgets, timelines, and project deliverables
• Supporting the broader Pan-regional team in the execution of smaller events which operate as part of wider integrated campaigns where necessary

The candidate must:
• Have 12+ yrs of experience preferably from entertainment or other fast-paced industry
• Experience across managing, executing, planning and staffing events at an agency, studio, network or with a brand (experience in film or television awards campaigns is a bonus)
• Knowledge of the latest tools, digital platforms and technologies to bring live, virtual, and hybrid experiences to life
• Be a self-starter who works independently under pressure, while consistently exercising sound judgement, even when faced with ambiguity
• Technical acumen, with the ability to articulate what is and is not required to deliver a successful, right-sized event
• Be curious and contribute effectively outside of their speciality
• Possess a candid and direct communication style, you are willing to be transparent, unafraid to challenge and yet admit to mistakes quickly and question values inconsistent with our values
• Be agile and proactive with meticulous organization skills and a focused attention to detail
• Have the ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done
• Resourceful storyteller
• Excellent communication in English, an additional Asian language is a plus
• Time spent living and working in the Asia Pacific region is a must
