Job Description

Netflix's Talent Relations & Awards team is looking for a dynamic professional to join the Series Awards Publicity team - working on our unscripted programming. The ideal candidate will be well versed in crafting strategic publicity campaigns, have strong trade and industry press relationships, and is able to autonomously manage cross-functional relationships across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

The Role:

The Manager will help shape and execute awards publicity campaigns for unscripted programming including reality and variety series and specials, stand-up specials and more - making use of multiple earned media channels including broadcast, print and online outlets. They will play a critical role in communicating with stakeholders inclusive of publicity, content and production company partners pre and post launch, employing unconventional tactics that target awards press in a meaningful way. They will pitch, secure and execute on all media opportunities. They have exceptional communication skills and are able to concept and execute fresh ideas in a crowded and highly competitive landscape. They find innovative ways to tap into and align with marketing, social and product to push set narratives. They will have the ability to understand the awards landscape and strategize on narratives that serve publicity goals.

This role will specifically require knowledge of awards processes across awards bodies including the Critics Choice, Grammys, IDA, News and Docs Emmys, Primetime Emmys, Daytime Emmy Awards and more. They are able to identify ways to heighten contenders profiles, strategize around needle-moving campaign opportunities and execute on niche market tactics. Strong candidates can handle a vast amount of work, have strong press relationships in this space and are eager to learn. Relevant festival experience is a plus.
