Netflix is seeking a Manager to join the Regulatory Affairs team in France which is one of our most challenging markets. This person will engage with policymakers on a variety of issues that are directly relevant to the business of Netflix in France. He or she will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the new AVMS obligations. In particular, he or she will coordinate with the Content Strategy & Analysis (CS&A) Finance and Business & Legal Affairs (BALA) teams to forecast, monitor and report the obligations. As such, he or she will be a key point of support for the relevant internal teams and will liaise with regulators (Arcom in particular) to ensure timely compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex regulatory and policy issues in the media and cultural sector. He or she will thrive in multi-cultural and fast-paced environments. He or she will be a self-starter but also perform well in teams, with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail. Success in the role will require translating complex political, regulatory and legal issues into simple messages, drafting papers as well advocating for our positions with policy and industry stakeholders, organizing events and collaborating with a diverse set of local partners.

In this role you will:
• Ensure compliance with the new AVMS obligations, ie. coordination of the relevant internal teams to forecast and monitor Netflix' obligations and engagement with the regulator (Arcom) to discuss/achieve compliance
• Contribute to our policy work in France ie. monitoring/analysis of relevant policy developments, work internally to help colleagues across Netflix understand the impact of such developments, work cross-functionally to strategically align on policy objectives and messages, as well as execute strategies to successfully advance our positions

This role is based in Paris and reports to Netflix's Director of Public Policy for France. The successful candidate will have at least the following qualifications:
• 8+ years of regulatory and public policy experience with the French institutions and policy-makers in the media and entertainment sector
• Some experience in legal/finance production is a plus
• Demonstrated and thoughtful business judgment, strong research and analytical skills, ability to work well under pressure, and ability to collaborate with multiple teams simultaneously
• An ability to cover a broad range of issues and work with a network of consultants, lawyers and other partners
• Track record of successfully executing cross-functional projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Excellent fit with the Netflix culture
