Job Description
We are looking for candidates to be a part of a team that focuses on diverse audiences within the publicity organization at Netflix. The role will help devise and execute tailored, culturally relevant and innovative campaigns that help shape the perception of our original films, series, kids & family and documentary content.

The ideal candidate will have deep entertainment experience, strong industry relationships, along with a love of great storytelling that also knows how to strategically engage with specific community audiences through publicity, grassroots and event efforts. This is a very hands-on role that requires extensive knowledge of the press and cultural landscape, a savvy consumer of social media, as well as the ability to be a strong cross functional partner to multiple teams, including publicity peers, marketing, editorial & publishing and awards.

The role requires a seasoned publicity candidate who is results-oriented, as well as a clear and concise communicator. They will have experience in communicating with executives, filmmakers, talent, talent representatives, agencies and production partners. They can anticipate messaging needs, be proactive and able to meet fast-breaking deadlines. Curiosity, creativity, and the ability to take risks are expected. The ability to manage a budget, as well as operating at scale and able to identify efficiencies while also keeping standards high that focus on impact are all an integral part of this role.

This publicist will work across the publicity teams, helping to craft campaigns that drive culturally relevant conversations around the Netflix brand, titles, and talent.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide big-picture thinking and leadership to continuously elevate and promote Netflix's original content
• Develop comprehensive campaign strategies to reach a diversity of audiences, and be able to strategically lead and execute those campaigns on our films and series to completion
• Collaborate across departments to accomplish PR campaign goals
• Establish and maintain strong press, talent, and representative relationships
• Strategize and work in partnership on junkets, PA tours, premieres and tastemaker events
• Solutions-oriented and an avid problem solver
• Knowledge of key multicultural festivals and conventions
• Strong community and partner relationships with national and local Latinx, Black, LGBTQ+, Faith, Asian & Pacific Islander organizations

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this team will have at least 10+ years of entertainment experience in a studio, network, agency or journalism setting. BA/BS required.

Compensation

Netflix offers an attractive compensation package consisting of base salary, stock options, 401K (with match), comprehensive benefits and relocation.

Reporting Relationship

The Manager of Multicultural Publicity reports to the Director, Multicultural Publicity, Social & Community based in LA.
