Job Description
Netflix is building the world's leading internet TV network, offering great films and series that push the boundaries of storytelling and delight members of all ages and tastes across the world. As we grow our business and teams, we look for people from a wide range of backgrounds to reflect the global nature of our customers. It takes diversity of thought, culture, background, and perspective to create a truly global internet TV network. While we highly value the importance of diversity in our teams, we also recognize the even greater importance of building an inclusive environment where all employees feel equally welcomed and their voices valued - without inclusion, diversity cannot thrive.

At Netflix, all employees own this mission, not just one person or team. We believe we have to work from the inside out to create the place where top talent from all over the world wants to work - that is how great work happens.

We believe in telling global stories, many of which come from Japan. Netflix launched in Japan in 2015, and our business has enjoyed tremendous growth since then. At the same time, the size and complexity of the Japanese market means there's so much more to do since our employees are as diverse as the countries we represent and the stories we tell.

The Inclusion & Diversity Manager will have the immediate objective of establishing a presence as someone to whom leaders in the country can go to for support with regard to various diversity issues and how they lead inclusively, and in alignment with how the global Inclusion Strategy Team & Talent leaders in countries assess the current reality of diversity and inclusion. What has been and is being done to advance diversity equity and inclusion (DE&I) define and determine the nuanced issues or pressing needs, and develop a plan to address these needs/issues.

• Engage and network with external groups and/or organizations within Japan to gain knowledge of trends in the field and build partnerships to leverage I&D work at Netflix and the region as a whole

• Has solid experience leading I&D change in Japan; has done the work of changing practices and policies within an organization to assure more inclusion
• Has worked with leaders advising them about how to demonstrate inclusive leadership and how to manage diverse teams
