Job Description
As Netflix continues to evolve and the complexity of our organization grows, we are looking for an HRBP Director to join the Studio Operations Talent leadership team. The Studio Operations organization is critical to the delivery of our titles around the world and a major contributor to our commitment to Operational Excellence and Member Value. The organization is building the infrastructure and resources needed to operate a world-class studio that produces substantial volume across geographies and content types at a cost comparable to the world's leading studios. Additionally, it strives to be known for delivering high quality content and providing a great working experience for the talent involved.

We are looking for an HRBP Director to partner with 5 key teams: Production Strategy & Operations, Production Facilities Management & Operations, Production Innovation, Creative Services and Production Security & Intelligence. The HRBP Director will play a critical role with each of these groups and will partner closely with cross-functional partners and HRBP leaders in each of our regions given the global footprint of each of these teams.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with leaders and their teams in an agile, complex, fast paced and high volume environment. A love and passion for production and / or technology will make the job extremely rewarding, but previous experience in this area is not a requirement. It will be hard to apply any external experience without strong learning agility and immense curiosity.

We have built one of the largest production studios in the industry and are managing a title volume that has never been done before. Having a strong HR foundation and a consultative approach is a huge asset to this role, in addition to the following:
- Organizational Development and Change Management - Studio Operations has undergone significant growth over the last few years with leaders and teams continuing to evolve their roles and work. You must demonstrate the curiosity and agility to understand the business objectives, how teams must be organized and operate to deliver on objectives, what type of behaviors and leadership is needed for effective and efficient execution of priorities, and how to support leaders and their teams navigate change.
- Inclusion - As a coach to leaders and their teams, you must have the self-awareness, curiosity, and courage to identify your personal areas of growth and the growth of others. It's important that you value the ongoing work needed to adapt and respond to the ever-evolving space of inclusion, and model the humility, compassion and dedication needed to be an inclusive partner and colleague. Practically, you should be able to assess for bias in hiring, promotion, comp, and feedback; identify and address non-inclusive behaviors in real time; and support and guide leaders and their teams through inclusion initiatives.
- Leadership - Guiding and supporting leaders requires a strong understanding and modeling of the core leadership attributes needed to successfully lead at Netflix. You'll need to be able to demonstrate and guide leading in all aspects of our culture, especially feedback, context sharing, coaching, influencing, and alignment. Having the objectivity and courage to make or guide difficult decisions, and effectively provide context to address concerns and questions are critical to this role.

Eye for Talent - You will need a keen sense of talent potential and density, always looking ahead to future talent needs and identifying future successors. Additionally, you'll need to evaluate talent performance and development opportunities and provide clear and constructive feedback for growth and impact.

This role is an LA based role with some travel required to our production facilities in Brooklyn, NY, Fort Monmouth, NJ (if our public bid is successful) and Albuquerque, NM.

What you will do:
• You will be expected to both contribute to and deliver a cohesive talent strategy and vision for these teams and will be responsible for continuing to iterate and evolve our talent practices.
• In this role, leading, demonstrating, redefining and modeling the Netflix culture is top priority. You will be a steward of our culture, valuing diversity of opinions and people, and will coach leaders to become more competent, compassionate, conscious and courageous in these efforts.
• In addition to coaching and developing leaders and their teams, you will need to have the ability to influence across the business as well as with cross functional talent partners. A heightened awareness of the needs of the business will ultimately lead to better partnership and execution of large scale initiatives.

What we are looking for:
• This position requires 10+ years of progressive, strategic and varied client-facing HR experience (HRBP, Organizational Development, etc) working in dynamic environments, and the proven ability and interest to be hands-on as needed.
• This HRBP will be a self starter, demonstrating curiosity about the business and organization overall with a desire to uplevel the partnership with the teams they support.
• Experience developing highly effective leaders that build strong teams, lead with empathy, and unlock the capabilities of a global, diverse workforce.
• Previous experience working in agile, complex, fast paced and high volume environments is preferred. Demonstrated passion for production, technology, content and entertainment is encouraged.
• Having successfully led cross functional initiatives across a variety of disciplines: culture building, organizational development, talent management, and inclusion and diversity is ideal.
