To do this, we're evolving how we organize and looking to improve how we deliver on our most complex and important programs.
Our Technical Program Management (TPM) team is chartered with driving Platform Engineering's most challenging and cross-functional initiatives. Our TPMs are technically adept and partner directly with technical product and engineering functions to align and mobilize teams to deliver high impact business outcomes. The team has grown organically over the last few years and we are looking for an experienced leader to coach, mentor, and grow our TPMs, while also shaping the vision and strategy of the TPM function.

This is a pivotal role requiring influence, initiative, and creativity to ensure Platform Engineering is well positioned to execute. If you have demonstrated experience leading TPM teams that deliver highly scalable and reliable infrastructure, software, and data platforms, along with a strong track record of partnering closely with product managers and engineering teams, we'd love to talk to you!

What you will do…
• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers building an environment of teamwork, trust, and mutual success
• Initiate, drive, and evangelize a vision for the Technical Program Management function within Platform Engineering
• Deeply understand business and technical strategy to proactively identify high-impact programs
• Develop KPIs to measure effectiveness of programs and establish frameworks using program management principles that foster high quality, metrics-driven program delivery
• Partner with product and engineering teams to drive alignment, prioritization and critical decisioning with internal partners and stakeholders
• Navigate diverse stakeholder groups, forming and sustaining trusted relationships
• Use strong technical and business acumen to identify and resolve risks and dependencies that would prevent successful program execution
• Influence leaders and teams to effect change across Netflix Engineering
• Be a catalyst for change within Platform Engineering

• A tried and tested set of principles, frameworks, and practices for enabling delivery success
• Experience coaching and mentoring senior technical program managers to reach their full potential
• The capacity to understand complex systems and enjoy the challenge of solving problems
• Experience in solving the challenges of building strong, scalable infrastructure and solutions
• The ability to lead through ambiguity with clarity in a fast paced environment
• A healthy blend of technical knowledge and execution-focused mindset
• Good balance of IQ & EQ to be able to solve both technical and social challenges
