About the team
The Studio Finance team works closely with our Netflix Studio team across EMEA to develop the strategy, financial planning and support the execution of our Series and Films across the slate. The Netflix Studio is one of the largest studios in the world and works closely with our creative teams to oversee the execution of owned originals (both produced in-house or outsourced with a partner), and support the creative team's acquisition and delivery of third party licensed originals throughout the region.
The Studio Finance team works closely with our partners in production management, innovation, creative services and facilities planning across EMEA to provide strategic and financial guidance on core business decisions. A core part of the Studio Finance team is overseeing Production Finance - the budgeting and management of title level spend.
The Studio Finance team continues to grow across EMEA, the 2nd largest Netflix Region after UCAN to support local content production increase and our development in each market. EMEA Finance management team is based in Amsterdam and our studio finance team is now deployed in all major markets across Europe.
About the role
This role is a key in-region lead with the opportunity to shape the vision of the expanding Netflix Studio across EMEA. We are seeking a seasoned and strategic executive to lead this large team. The successful candidate will be proactive, flexible, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities.
The Head of Studio Finance & Strategy will be instrumental in working with the Netflix Studio leadership team. As a head of this team, you'll be working with the regional leaders across Production Management, Post Production, VFX, Production Facilities Management & Operations, Creative Services, Dubbing, etc).
This leader will have a high degree of visibility with our C-level executives and other senior management within the organization to accurately model and forecast the business as well as lead the strategic analysis that is used to inform important business decisions. The leader will also oversee a large team spread around production hubs throughout Europe.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the efforts to set the long-term strategic vision for the Netflix EMEA Studio
• Provide guidance and oversight to protect and optimize Netflix's investment in local market both at the studio slate and title level
• Be a strategic thought partner to executive management, content and production leaders, and studio partners throughout EMEA
• Provide comprehensive and current market intelligence to guide Netflix Studio evolution throughout the EMEA market
• Drive innovative and streamlined financial processes to facilitate smarter and more timely decisions both internally and externally with productions
• Partner with Production Management teams on long term planning, scenario analysis, and scoping of production facilities and allocated services
• Partner with finance teams to review and modify accounting policies accordingly related to capitalization, show overhead, and allocation of central production services.
• Lead team of production finance execs managing title-level production spend alongside Content Creatives and Physical Production to ensure we manage budgets responsibly and spend optimally
• Be an integrated member of the global Finance and Strategy team
Qualifications:
• Experience as a team leader and partner to senior executive leaders. Leadership experience, managing teams of 20+ individuals
• Minimum 15 years of experience in finance or strategy with exposure to content production (any content type, but preference towards experience in Unscripted, Alternative, Features and Series)
• Strong ability to be flexible, effective and impactful across a widely-varying range of studio and production communities
• Candidates must thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on action and generating results
• Must be able to communicate and maneuver within a lean, fast-paced, and high performing content team - identifying and working effectively with stakeholders on challenging projects.

• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications
• Strong written and verbal professional communication skills
• Fluency in English
