With that, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to support the preparation of statutory financial reporting, management of external audits and local compliance obligations, and provide general finance support for India.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to be based in Mumbai, India that will support the finance close process and review of transactions. This role will also support the local GAAP financial reporting for Netflix entities in India.
The accountant will work with various cross functional teams (in India as well as internationally) to gather information and optimize the accounting and reporting processes as well as the external audits. The accountant will also focus on accurate and efficient reporting under Indian GAAP and ensure alignment with our US GAAP reporting
Requirements for the role include:
• Chartered Accountant with minimum 5 years relevant (post qualification) experience (multinational audit firm experience along with industry experience is preferred)
• Accounting background and ability to navigate technical accounting guidance under Indian GAAP/ US GAAP (with a strong understanding of the differences to US GAAP)
• Handling statutory audits- working on audit schedules and managing statutory audits
• Experience of/ willingness to work with various international teams across multiple time-zones
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems is preferred
• Entertainment industry experience is preferred
