This Employee Services Generalist position is part of the Talent Experience and Operations (TEO) team based in Amsterdam, which designs and delivers the infrastructure and operations to deliver an outstanding employee experience throughout the full lifecycle of Netflix employees in the local market.
This hire will be a key player, interacting with employees daily to address their employment questions and needs. The role supports the main functions within the ES Generalist team: onboarding, offboarding, mobility, leaves of absence & benefits. This position will be expected to be highly independent and proactive in identifying and implementing positive improvements in the employee experience, aligned with our culture, in the local market and across the region.
This will be a 12 month fixed term contract based in our Amsterdam office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide EMEA based employees with an incredible employee experience aligned with our Culture
• Organize and facilitate new hire orientation(s) while partnering closely with our IT and Workplace services
• Identify and implement improvements across our Talent systems, tools and workflows that result in increased efficiency
• Provide educational, operational and administrative front-facing support with day-to-day and ad hoc requests and inquiries throughout the employee lifecycle such as onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, data management and internal transfers
• Help employees to fully understand their benefits and liaise with our Benefits team regarding complex and tricky care inquiries
• Partner with our Benefits team to triage and resolve claims while ensuring accurate data flows are maintained on our benefit records
• Partner with our Talent and Employment Legal department in reviewing compliance requirements and their implementation
• Work closely with the Talent team to provide operational support for local development and HR programs
• Support and provide insights into the broader Talent organization using data and analytics
Your Experience:
• 3+ years of HR experience in a dynamic fast-moving environment
• Experience working with Workday is essential, experience using Zendesk or another CRM is desirable
• Proven knowledge of employment and labor laws and compliance for the EMEA countries. Familiarity with any of the following countries are a bonus: United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Germany
• Fluency in English is required, fluency in Polish or German is desirable but not essential, any other languages are a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment with varied projects
• Creative problem solver and critical thinker who approaches work with a positive can-do attitude and thrives in ambiguity
• Excellent judgment with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and continuously simplify workflows
• Strong organizational and communication skills. You are comfortable working in a culture that values candor, transparency, and courage
