Overview

The Netflix Global Public Policy team is a highly talented and experienced group of experts from diverse backgrounds who work in close partnership with their business counterparts to advance the strategic goals of the company.

Within the Global Public Policy team, the Strategic Engagement and Analytics (SEAL) team acts as an operational center of excellence supporting our policy peers globally to build a positive narrative and evidence for their specific strategies. The SEAL team is seeking a Data Analyst to join its team; the Data Analyst will report to the Director, Data & Intelligence, Strategic Engagement and Analytics. This position may be based in Los Angeles or Los Gatos.

Responsibilities
*Perform data analysis and develop dashboards, reports, presentations and data products that present insights in an intuitive manner
*Source, bring in and work with external data sets where needed
*Identify opportunities to tell new data stories
*Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that the Public Policy team is able to leverage data across the business
*Articulate findings clearly to Policy teams and their stakeholders, in different formats

Qualifications
*3-5 years of relevant experience in a highly analytical environment, which can include data analytics and visualization, finance, economics or management consulting
*University degree in economics, data science or engineering, finance, statistics or related field
*Analytical skills with an excellent grasp of spreadsheet-based tools such as Excel or Google Sheets and are comfortable using SQL
*Knowledge of at least one major programming language (e.g. Python)
*Experience with BI/visualizations tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio

The successful candidate should also have the ability to
*Organize, analyze and exploit data using statistical techniques
*Think creatively and leverage data for the needs of the policy team
*Communicate efficiently with a wide variety of technical and non-technical partners
*Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have
*An understanding of the media/entertainment sector would be an advantage
*Experience working with Public Policy, Communications or Strategy teams a plus
