Job Description
The Product Creative Studio (PCS) team partners with content creators and distributors to define how their content is creatively represented on Netflix. The team also works as a centralized hub within Netflix to define the creative strategy of titles on service, working closely with internal creative teams and agencies, content creators, and distributors. At its core, the work is grounded in creativity with a strong understanding of how the Netflix product works. Our purpose is to create the most compelling discovery experience through artwork, video, and copy to connect our millions of global subscribers to the content they love.

Creative Practices, a new team within PCS, is focused on the art of making art. We partner with our stunning colleagues across the world to define, implement, and consistently refine how creatively excellent, high-performing assets are created for the Netflix platform and beyond.

We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative Creative Lead to join the Practices team. Our Creative Leads are our on-the-ground influencers, evangelists, and experts in on-service creative assets - and how to drive excellence while making those assets at scale.

This is a remote role, reporting directly to the Director of Creative Practices.

Responsibilities
• Advocate and influence teams to reach for a common creative development approach with appropriate regional nuance.
• Oversee the achievement of adoption goals associated with new creative processes.
• Balance a deep understanding of the creative process with deep understanding of efficiencies and other business-related drivers, and use that combination to help direct process transformation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and external agency partners -- in many instances, as the sole point of contact for the Creative Practices team -- to not only launch and scale new best practices used in creation of on-service assets, but constantly push those assets towards creative excellence.
• Help develop internal communications and education around new tools and workflows that support the creative process.
• Help drive the feedback loop between creative makers, technologists, and analysts, ensuring that creative makers understand business drivers and rationales -- and that both technologists and analysts understand the unique process of a creative maker.
• Represent the craft of creative making in non-creative contexts.
• Support peer Creative Leads when projects and initiatives have overlap.
• Coordinate efforts to implement global creative practices.
• Share learnings across regions, while also capturing new opportunities for innovation.
• Make recommendations and prioritize areas of improvement in our approach to creative excellence.
• Understand budget implications and provide insight on preferred path forward.
• Set up guidelines, practices and trainings to elevate external partners in the production of creative content.

Qualifications
• 7+ years experience in creative direction, creative strategy, creative execution, or a combination thereof.
• Ability to inspire cross-functional teams with innovative ideas; passion for breaking convention – and a proven ability of driving adoption of innovative ideas.
• Proven experience in product rollouts (B2B or B2C).
• Proven experience in program management & stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with global teams.
• Deep understanding of creative workflows and creative development cycles.
• Design / creative agency experience, or tech company experience is a plus.

Successful candidates...
• Have a passion for trailers, teasers, posters - and for the movies and TV shows they represent.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrate strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
• Are a strategic communicator, and put effort into translating complicated concepts into simple, understandable language.
• Are willing and able to travel and work offset hours to better align with our global office time zones as the business needs require.
