Job Description

Coordinator/Project Manager, Production Technology & Operations (UK)

Netflix is the leading provider of streaming video, and a lot of it is original content: features, shorts, series, documentaries, comedy specials and unscripted series.

Across all types of projects, the Netflix Studio aims to lead the market in Operational Excellence for our productions and teams. We seek to provide a better studio experience for external talent and believe this enables creative excellence. The Production Technology & Operations (PT&O) team shepherds this effort by collaborating with cross functional teams, productions and talent in order to empower external partners and right-size the level of support we provide while also improving their experience of working with Netflix. We provide subject matter expertise wherever creativity meets technology and workflow, from development through to final delivery and onto the Netflix service. The team also plays a leading role in developing and shaping our internal tooling that helps drives our efficiency at scale. In the UK, the PT&O team are part of the PVMT (Post Production, VFX, Music, Technology) organisation and are closely aligned with these functions as well as Production Management in achieving our content goals across the UK slate.

As part of the Netflix PT&O team, the coordinator aims to pave the road for the rest of the team to do their work more efficiently and effectively. While the Technologists and Specialists on the team offer their direct support to production crews, as well as internal and external post and production management teams, the coordinator works to streamline and maintain team communication and alignment. The coordinator helps to track new standards and tools, develop team initiatives and, as the central point of communication, is fully aware of each team member's whereabouts and challenges so that work gets finished, published and broadcast in time.

The PT&O team is a globally operating team, with subject matter experts in all major regions, and the coordinator plays a pivotal role in keeping this global team connected.

As part of the PT&O team, you will:
• Actively track what topics and initiatives are being worked on by individuals on the team to keep the team aligned and informed.
• Provide project management support for regional initiatives including managing stakeholders, developing project plans, evaluating scope, setting project level KPIs and keeping on top of resource costs.
• Help integrate new internal productivity and collaboration tools for the team (in close collaboration with the global team).
• Assist with internal and external facing training sessions and outreach initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate team-meetings and events.
• Facilitate and track progress of strategic initiatives driven by the PT&O group and wider PVMT organisation.
• Assist the team with research, documentation and logistics on their projects including the creation of memos and presentation decks
• Curate articles, documents and other support resources to educate creative partners and vendors about our requirements and initiatives.
• Stay on top of industry news and events, ensuring important news items are shared internally.
• Devise and carry-out strategies to achieve our global goals.
• Represent the Netflix PT&O team internally to cross functional teams within the studio.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-years of film/TV production or post-production experience.
• A basic understanding of imaging pipelines and/or post production processes.
• Experience working on projects across countries and with partners in different locations highly advantageous.
• Strong customer orientation and helpful, collaborative demeanour.
• Naturally well organised with a knack for finding inefficiencies and a strong will to fix them.
• Strong literacy in English language and comfortable with writing both internal and external facing articles, memos and presentations.
• Knowledge of, proficiency in and eagerness to experiment with tools like Google Suite, Coda, Airtable, Slack and/or other productivity tools.
• Ability to remain organised in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities.
• Role is based in London, UK, but travel across EMEA may be required.
• A passion for sound and the moving image.
• Passionate about our culture and values in the workplace.
