The Role

As Netflix expands our presence in Canada, we are looking for an experienced, fully bilingual Administrative Assistant to support executives across several different teams operating within the country. This is an exciting chance to join the team during a moment of ongoing growth and have an impact on the groups shaping the future of Netflix in Canada.

The AA, Public Policy and Communications, Canada, will support senior leaders on both the policy and communications teams in all their activities, and help coordinate and execute ongoing projects. They will also act as a point of contact with cross-functional partners as well as external vendors and stakeholders. In addition to supporting these executives, the role will also require working in collaboration with the Public and Diplomatic Affairs Manager based in the DC office to support and/or organize campaigns and events to advance public policy objectives. The role will be based in Toronto but would entail travel (post-pandemic) to Washington DC and other Netflix offices.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain calendars for 2-3 executives including booking and confirming meetings
• Event planning (e.g. offsites, workshops, conferences, internal team events, etc.)
• Write/draft internal and external communications for a variety of projects/initiatives.
• Make travel arrangements (domestic and international) and expenses
• Ad hoc project support/management.
• Taking notes in meetings and circulating information to the greater team.
• Create presentations and documents using PowerPoint and Google Workspace.

Qualifications
• 7+ years experience providing administrative support and heavy calendar management for multiple executives.
• Experience working within the entertainment or technology industry is a must.
• Knowledge of policy issues pertaining to the industry and Netflix's business is a plus.
• Strong writing skills are required.
• Fluency in both French and English is required (written and spoken).
• Tech-savvy with absolute proficiency in Google Workplace (formerly G Suite).
• Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and respond accordingly to the shifting needs of the team.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting .Positive attitude and team player, especially when faced with changing responsibilities.
• Comfortable working with executives at all levels of the organization.
