Responsibilities

NBCUniversal's Feature Post Production department with the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group has an opening for an experienced Vice President of Digital Cinema Operations (DCO).

Reporting to the EVP of Feature Post Production, the VP of Digital Cinema Operations oversees the production of master Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) and related elements for Universal Pictures' theatrical releases, working with filmmakers, post production, distribution, and third-party vendors to ensure error-free asset creation and distribution. The VP and DCO staff review and approve the theatrical release assets in multiple picture, audio, 4D motion and accessibility formats for global use.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Works with post production, other departments and DCP mastering facilities on the final digital cinema deliverables, anticipating, championing and satisfying the unique needs of each feature.
• Instructs multiple employees from various internal and external business units on a title-by-title basis to ensure DCO best practices are followed and requirements met, including content security and pre-release protocols.
• Strategizes with sales and distribution to plan and direct the creation and delivery of repertory (back catalog) DCPs.
• Supports internal business units as a technical resource, responding to d-cinema questions and concerns.

Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience with feature post-production.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with digital cinema operations.
• Thorough knowledge of feature post-production processes and digital cinema standards, specifications and workflows.
• Possesses extensive, relevant experience in the motion picture industry, including production, post-production and distribution.
• Undergraduate degree in pertinent field or equivalent industry experience.

• Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends.
• Genuine love and knowledge of all kinds of films is a plus.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.

Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000; bonus eligible and long-term incentive eligible.
