Job Purpose

The NBCU Vice President, Direct to Scale will focus exclusively on the Direct-to-Consumer category. This person will play a critical role within our fast-paced advertising sales team, with a focus on driving revenue for the full NBCU platform through growth in the growing DTC category. This person will be responsible for driving demand at the agency level across all products within the NBCU Platform including streaming, linear, global, local & the NBCU AdSmart suite of advanced TV products. This person will lead a team of salespeople across the country and will report directly into to the Senior Vice President, Direct to Scale, managing relationships with clients and media agency partners to meet revenue and KPI goals. Expertise in the advanced data-driven advertising landscape, and ability to operate effectively at the cross-section of traditional and digital media, are critical to achieving success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Drive advertising sales demand of the NBCU Platform for specific target clients in the direct-to-consumer category, developing new linear, digital, global, Peacock and partner revenue opportunities that clearly prove new value for clients
• Be the expert across NBCU One Platform products and convey meaningful and sustainable opportunities to emerging brands
• Develop and lead day-to-day sales strategy for a team of sellers; develop target lists, lead client outreach and be in market often with full NBCU portfolio opportunities
• Understand customer needs and provide feedback and market input that will strengthen our NBCU opportunities and value proposition
• Partner with internal teams (Digital and TV sales leads, Client Strategy, Agency Partnerships, Marketing, Legal, Research, etc.) to develop proactive packages and drive creativity throughout the sales process
• Develop strong relationships throughout NBCU to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market
• Understand customer needs and provide feedback and market input that will strengthen our NBCU opportunities and value proposition
• Track revenue of the Direct to Scale sales and establish a regular cadence for reporting on progress

Qualifications/Requirements
• Willingness to travel
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• 12+ years of relevant direct selling experience in advertising sales, including selling experience in an advanced media environment
• Proven experience leading change as well as new teams to revenue within established organizations
• Understanding of programmatic buying and selling
• Previous experience leading sales teams
• Extremely high emotional intelligence with driving measurable engagement results
• Must be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Advanced client-facing skills, ability to clearly articulate value positions and experience presenting integrated marketing programs to clients/leading brainstorms
• Ability to synthesize ideas from group discussions and articulate them verbally/in writing
• Adaptable in the face of constant change and ability to perform at a high level; identifying solutions when faced with challenges
• Exceptional with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Analytical / strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity
