Responsibilities
The Vice President, Client Experience will lead NBCUniversal's developed and curated leadership events and strategic presence at media industry conferences and events. These activations are for both internal and market-facing audiences as well as both nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Trade Marketing, this position will work closely with the NBCUniversal Advertising & Partnerships Leadership Team to identify, evaluate and execute NBCU's participation at conferences and events in the US and around the globe, including CES, Cannes, WEF and more. In addition, this role will work closely with the above group to craft an annual strategy to deliver NBCUniversal Advertising & Partnerships priority messaging to the marketplace as well as internally.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with NBCU Advertising & Partnerships Leadership to determine strategic priorities for the year and how we will show up at each industry/conference/tentpole experiences throughout the year
• Lead development of One Platform communications plan in collaboration with Corporate Communications, Sales and extended marketing team to strategically set calendar of events and broader marketing plan for the division
• Develop and manage relationships with industry trade partners, as well as conference & event stakeholders
• Ideate compelling client engagement ideas (both physical & virtual) to demonstrate and deliver on NBCU strategic priorities and brand propositions in an endemic manner
• Strategically approach each B2B sponsorship/conference/event with a fresh perspective, identifying opportunities for more bespoke/inviting/engaging executional ideas
• Create, identify and secure content opportunities that strategically align with NBCU's brand proposition
• Work closely with Corporate Communications to manage marketplace messaging
• Collaborate with NBCU internal creative services to build collateral and other assets that represent the NBCU brand
• Ideate with NBCU talent team to strategically align opportunities where talent can represent NBCU in the marketplace and engage with clients.
• Secure and brief potential guest speakers, managing contractual process
• Manage external vendors and strategic partners
• Work with NBCU Corporate Events to plan hospitality details as well as execute on site as needed
• Communicate objectives, strategy and executional details to all Ad Sales Leadership attendees of industry/conference/tentpole experiences, as well as communicating plans/recaps to overall Ad Sales organization
• Represent NBCU Ad Sales with strategic partners (other media companies, vendors, agency partners) while crafting NBCU's programs at conferences/events
• Provide robust recaps post-conference/event
• Lead CRM and email campaign initiatives for the Advertising Sales organization
• Establish and manage overall annual budget with NBCU Finance
• Manage team of a Director, Specialist and Marketing Coordinator

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience with an ad agency, client or media company sales organization, where the individual was responsible for developing and executing events, presentations, sponsorships, creative and promotions; overall event management, branding efforts and team management.
• Demonstrated success in organizational, process, project & event management, analytical and research- related skills
• Robust understanding of media landscape and ad sales organizations

Desired Characteristics
• Previous experience of national and international advertising industry conferences strongly preferred
• Ability to be flexible and change from physical to virtual event in current climate. Knowledge of virtual event platforms a plus.
• Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media in general
• Understanding of branding, from Portfolio-level, to Sales Vertical-level to individual property-level
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, organization and design
• Highly-organized team player and leader
• Ability to interact with senior-level management, internally and externally
• Strong budget-management skills
• Ability to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the creative development process
• Highly innovative with positive energy
• Strong interpersonal skills - with the ability to lead and motivate team of direct reports (Directors, Managers, Analysts, Associates and Specialists), interdepartmental teams and influence internal and external clients
• Ability to travel (domestic + international)
