Job Description

Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator II role is responsible for all aspects of Golf Datacenter Services infrastructure including provisioning systems, providing day-to-day support, proactive maintenance, and system troubleshooting. In carrying out the key responsibilities of the role, the Systems Administrator II will engage in the following activities;
• Provisioning
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain Datacenter Services infrastructure, including but not limited to hardware, operating systems, platform management software, system backups, messaging systems, etc.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies to scale.
• Operations Support
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
• Assist in the implementation and documentation of Datacenter Services Infrastructure.
• Maintenance
• Respond to service interruptions as they occur.
• Identify capacity and performance issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Tests and evaluates systems to eliminate obstacles and make improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 5 + years of Information Systems experience and including;
o VMware Virtualization Technologies (vSphere, vRealize, vSAN).
o Purse Storage administration, FlashArray, FlashBlade, Pure1, Purity OS.
o Colocation providers (Equinix, Cyxtera, Tierpoint, Zayo).
o Palo Alto Firewalls & Network Security via Panorama.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems.
• Experience in managing server systems in an enterprise environment. Understanding of monitoring and alerting procedures.
• Microsoft MCSA, VMware VCA, Redhat RHCSA or other relevant certifications.
• A proven track record of achievement against targets and objectives through strong organizational and time management skills.
