Staff Accountant – Regional Sports Networks (NBCU Local)
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end procedures
• Prepare and record monthly manual journal entries and upload into the general ledger
• Perform Sports Rights accounting for Networks
• Perform Sports Live Events tracking for Networks
• Prepaid Lease schedules
• Prepare and document monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze general ledger account activity
• Track account balances within general ledger
• Assist in audit requests from external and internal auditors
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum one (1) year hands on accounting or finance experience
Additional skill requirements:
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows environment and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in the use of SAP or similar accounting software
• Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities is a must

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000
