Division Profile

NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $5Bn per year. This includes a rich library of more than 4,200 feature films and 110,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.
Overview

The Sr. Manager role will be a hybrid role of Finance and Technology responsibilities. This will require the manager to work closely with all system touchpoint leads, as well as Global TVD Finance and FP&A teams.

Primary responsibilities will include documentation of all accounting operations (inclusive but not limited to) AR, Revenue, Taxes, Foreign Exchange, and Reallocation processes. In addition, the individual will own the current production system ticket process in partnership with the technology team. Continuous communication and follow through to all stakeholders are paramount in this role.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Finance Systems for TV Distribution, and will have exposure to several global financial and technology leaders.

Responsibilities
• Conduct intake and produce test for Finance (Controllership, Business Operations Rev Assurance, FP&A) for all deal analysis that need to be tested end to end. Create structured documentation (with finance manager) of question/issue, test scenarios, and system outcome. Prepare recommendations for all results that have a gap from intended effect.
• Partner with financial operations and controllership to document and create new production error tickets for technology. Lead prioritization process of open items and work with IT business analysts to understand solution, produce questions, and ensure proper timing.
• Become superuser for all Global TVD systems (GTM, SAFE, CAFÉ, ARMR, Microstrategy, and SAP). Develop and maintain close relationship with all technology system leads.
• Ability to actively review and understand contracts (various revenue recognition methodologies) to translate properly to financial system.
• Provide critical input in discussions with senior leadership (operations, sales admin, technology, and finance) for next step solutions for enhancements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and financial operations on upcoming greenlit subledger enhancements. Lead efforts to coordinate requirements gathering to final approval of UAT.
• Provide timely updates to senior leadership on all open items and existing challenges.
• Ad hoc special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Experience in working with technology for system enhancements.
• Must have advanced level MS Excel experience.
