Sr. Manager, Product Development (CA or NYC) - Content Distribution

Responsibilities

Content Distribution Digital Products is responsible for driving consumption, monetization, and brand presence for NBCUniversal programming across O&O platforms and distributor digital products – with includes experiences in set top boxes, connected, web and mobile devices.

We are looking for candidates who have strong product management experience building platforms and products at scale and a deep technical understanding of those platforms. Candidates who passionately pursue features with the customer in mind, aligning it with impactful business results, and strong execution capability. Candidates who can think big and then roll up their sleeves to get it done.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the execution of the product roadmap with cross-functional agile development team - You will be working closely with engineers
• Iterate on current products & platform solutions through providing product thought leadership in identifying critical customer requirements, understanding business goals, and defining product roadmaps
• Write, prioritize, and accept product user stories
• Help define and analyze KPIs that inform the success of products and operations
• Create and manage product performance reports
• Partner with Design/UX, Engineering, PMO, Editorial/Operations, and Product Marketing teams on projects and work closely with them to ensure product specifications meet requirements
• Partner with external product teams to deliver features and products based on distributor and industry needs/requests
• Create and manage all relevant documentation

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Technical experience with analytical tools, methodologies, and design
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, application development and/or system integration
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business process, technology, and data requirements analysis
- Strong product sense, with demonstrated data-driven decision-making skills
- Familiarity with an SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) methodology that includes requirements analysis, development, system integration, and delivery
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience with presentation and analysis tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA or New York City, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Willingness to travel, work nights and on weekends with short notice

- Agile or Scrum experience preferred
- Strong problem-solver who can thrive in complex environments - Curious in nature and able to balance what the data says with what you feel we can bet on
- Knowledge of digital media and multi-platform distribution with background in media & entertainment industry
- Experience with Pay TV consumer applications (cable, satellite, dMVPD, or connected devices) highly desirable
- Knowledgeable of metadata aggregators such as Gracenote and TiVo
