Job Purpose
NBCU is seeking a Senior Analyst of Insights & Research to aid in the development of sales-driven research and analytical solutions for NBCU linear, digital, and social content. This role will be responsible for handling analysis and positioning of content and audience in support of sales for NBCU Assets across the portfolio. The Senior Analyst will interface with internal constituencies to translate our content and audience insights into ''sellable'' insights and stories through quantitative and qualitative analysis and data. Candidates must have an interest in continuous learning of media data tools and methodology for developing actionable insights and effective storytelling.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the NBCU Ad Sales Insights & Research team in the creation of actionable content performance and audience insights, reports, presentations and marketing materials for NBCU and partner platforms across linear, digital and social (NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Universal Kids, Syfy, USA, CNBC Prime, NBC News, CNBC Business Day, MSNBC, Peacock, & Syndication and Digital and Social offerings)
• Leverage syndicated and custom research tools to create compelling data-led insights and recommendations. Create effective topline stories through one-sheeters and other engaging data visualization methods
• Develop consumer and category insights to support marketing opportunities based on audience delivery and profiles, buying behaviors, and ad spending analyses
• Partner with internal NBCU Research, Sales and Marketing teams to contribute to results-focused and insights-led positioning to the marketplace
• Work with Program Research, Ad Sales, Strategy, Marketing teams to align data-led recommendation and positioning to Ad Sales strategy
• Participate in larger projects for the broader NBCU platform as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of work experience at an agency, media company, sales organization or in research
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Economics/Finance, Math, Statistics, or related field
• Excellent computer skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (formatting, creating charts/graphs, pivot tables, formulas etc.)
• Desire to learn quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and analysis
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Willingness to partner with fast-paced, high performing sales & marketing teams
• Comfortable acting in a client-facing role, with the potential to present to external parties
• Background in analytics and knowledge of media math required
• Passion about NBCU contents, a plus
• Prior experience in TV and digital applications and other syndicated research tools (Nielsen NPower, Nielsen Ad Intel, Phoenix TV Brand Effect, Lake5, MRI, ListenFirst, comScore etc.) a plus

• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
