LXTV Productions is looking for an experienced New York based Social Media Manager to work on their lifestyle series and specials. LXTV is the National Emmy® award winning lifestyle production company of the NBC Owned Television Stations group, a part of the NBCUniversal Local division. LXTV produces original series and specials, including ''1st Look,'' a travel show which spotlights the best places to eat, play and indulge; ''Open House'' and ''Open House NYC,'' where audiences get a look at America's most lavish homes and get design ideas, advice and inspiration from the industry's emerging and established names; ''George to the Rescue,'' a home improvement show where design and construction experts help families and communities realize their home improvement dreams; and specials and new series pilots throughout the year.

LXTV shows are available on NBC owned and affiliated stations in the US and internationally, on Peacock and the NBCLX Network, as well as through digital out-of-home platforms including taxis, gas stations, buses and nail salons.

This role will report to the Vice President of Original Content and Development for LXTV and will manage 1 direct report (video editor) plus part-time interns. The Social Media Manager's primary responsibility is to grow visibility and audience across all social platforms for the lifestyle series ''1st Look'', ''George to the Rescue'' and ''Open House''. They will accomplish this by creating unique and engaging original content. This person must be a strong communicator and leader who will work closely with the entire team, including producers, talent and internal sales team, on best practices for social platforms. The chosen candidate should identify trending topics, track overall performance, and have regular communication with reps from social platforms.
The ideal Social Media Manager is a strong writer and editor who's able to capture content in the field with a creative eye and has demonstrated experience creating unique social-first content. This role will also spearhead community management across the shows' social media platforms.

Responsibilities:
• Identify key moments, assign edits, and package video for publishing
• Partner with show producers to create social executions to their linear long-form content
• Drive experimentation of new formats native to each social platform
• Manage the content strategy and day-to-day calendar for multiple shows' social media channels, across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
• Ability to edit and capture video content
• Monitor and participate in social conversations on behalf of the shows to increase viewer engagement
• Analyze and report on social performance monthly
• Serve as a social media subject matter expert, sharing best practices with colleagues and talent
• Work closely with Sales team to create strategy and creative for sales clients, manage budget and track/report on performance metrics
• Attend shoots in-person and capture content for social media platforms
• Work closely with Legal team to obtain content approvals and ensure social media practices adhere to standards and best practices
• Manage relationship with social media platforms

Qualifications
• Minimum 5 year's experience producing social video content and overseeing social strategy
• Fluent in the culture of social media and online communities – especially TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
• Proven track record of growing a social audience/following base
• A strong understanding of social analytics, and the ability to provide informed feedback on content performance
• Experience in managing social video producers, editors and gfx creators
• Strong judgment and excellent writing, research, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and social in-app editing tools
