Role

The Senior Vice President, Business Affairs will be responsible for negotiating above-the-line agreements for motion pictures produced by Universal Pictures and for negotiating for the acquisition of distribution rights to motion pictures produced by third parties. This position is also responsible for supervising the legal department in connection with these agreements.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Negotiate above-the-line agreements for motion pictures produced by Universal Pictures.
• Negotiate for the acquisition of distribution rights to motion pictures produced by third parties.
• Responsible for supervising the legal department in connection with these agreements.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in motion picture business affairs.
• Proven, in-depth knowledge of the development, production, financing and acquisition of feature films.
• A strong background in copyright law, both US and foreign, and intellectual property matters.
• JD required and must be an active member of the California State Bar.
