Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in media business development & strategy across the spectrum of television and digital. The position will focus business development and strategy projects for the [6] NBC Sports Regional Networks, the broadcast television business including the [42] NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, and ad sales. In addition, the succeffull candidate may work on other projects across the NBCU TV & Streaming businesses.

With the division's assets spanning across both traditional television and new media platforms for both the domestic English and Spanish language markets, the Business Development & Strategy team has a broad mandate to identify and develop areas of innovation and new business. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Digital partnerships across content, sales, product, operations and technology
- Website / Mobile / Television monetization strategy and optimization including third party platforms/networks and programmatic
- Manage the Digital Out of Home (DOOH) business across all divisions at NBCU
- Series and movie licensing
- Broadcast affiliate acquisition for digital networks
- TV Everywhere & OTT distribution strategy and monetization (live streaming, VOD, Apps)
- Optimization of division's relationship with MVPDs by partnering with cable distribution team
- Opportunities around station's broadcast spectrum (including ATSC 3.0 / 4K)
- Identification of acquisiton targets and integration of any acquisitions

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

The Senior Manager of Business Development & Strategy will lead and support initiatives to drive the profitability of the NBCUniversal's Television and Streaming businesses. They will work with the SVP & VP of BD & Strategy on identifying, evaluating, and recommending Business Development opportunities in support of our overall growth plan. These opportunities include acquisitions, strategic partnerships, distribution agreements, technology, and/or content deals. He/she will oversee and support a variety of transactions. They will also assit in strategy projects that iinclude the annual Long Range Plan and transformational projects covering the next generation of television.

This high-profile role will require extensive interaction with senior executive leadership in a growth area of the company. It is a unique opportunity for those interested in a position that combines traditional and new media.

Specifically, the Senior Manager will:
- Support/lead business development discussions with external and internal strategic partners across television, digital, mobile and digital out of home
- Identify new business opportunities and lead the development and presentation of strategic business plans
- Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and execution of deals
- Support the launch of new products by working with constituents across functions to ensure alignment and success
- Act as main business contact and of all 3rd party revenue partners
-Lead all financial and general analysis across projects and existing partnerships
-Support or lead strategic analysis and projects across digital and linear

• The Sr. Manager should have a minimum of three years total work experience within media BD & Stratgey, investment bank or management consulting firm. Focus on television/cable and/or digital media a plus.
• Deep knowledge of the internet, mobile and/or television businesses
• Bachelor's Degree required and MBA a plus, but not required
• Must be willing to work in New York
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age
