Responsibilities
OVERVIEW

The Senior HR Generalist, ANZ assists the ANZ Country HR Director in driving the local HR agenda with both a people centric and commercial mindset, aimed at driving the business forward. All aspects of the employee life cycle are touched upon and the best employee experience is pursued. The incumbent interprets and provides input of the local needs in order to participate to the identification and planning of critical initiatives. This role will also be responsible for the local implementation of people strategies and for the coordination of the necessary administrative local needs. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role will represent a challenging yet rewarding mix of business support and project ownership, with opportunity for growth and development in both focuses across Australia and NZ.

HR Programs
• Be an effective advisor for local staff, acting as a sounding board and providing advisory using sound judgement and consideration to consistency and impact across multiple businesses
• Responsible for HR projects, programs and initiatives across all businesses and ensures compliance as well as deliver quick solutions to fit local needs
• Provide in country expertise, be forward thinking as well as operational for the full scope of HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, reward, employee engagement and organizational design and change

Talent Management & Acquisition
• Lead the local talent management programs like Talent Review and Performance conversation process, by coaching team leaders providing advice and support, contributing to building a culture of continuous development and feedback
• End to end responsible for sourcing the best of talent and creating a talent pipeline. Driving and supporting the recruiting, testing, and interviewing program in cooperation with our external provider
• Be an ambassador to the NBCUniversal brand and proactively create brand awareness guided by the employee value proposition, enhancing online presence and attending networking and career events
• Run and improve the localized internship program in partnership with Head office aligned to International guidelines
• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions

Compensations & Benefits
• Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefits programs to management; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids
• Implement C&B initiatives

Learning & Development
• Analyse training needs against local business strategy and employee skill gaps for the mid to long term, have a proactive role in defining and ensuring the delivery of training initiatives
• Active support of talent development and employee engagement projects. Ensure the implementation of the Annual Talent review process

Employee Relations & Policies
• Support a culture of trust and open & honest communication. Train and coach managers and employees on the best practices and instil the companies' values upon them
• Be a trusted partner for managers and employees in addressing and handling 'difficult conversations' and mediate where appropriate to achieve mutual understanding and an enjoyable work environment
• Being proactive and anticipate change, providing critical and timely input about consequences and implications of local law to all internal stakeholders
• Support and train managers to coach their team and take disciplinary action if needed; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors

Labour Conditions
• Advises, designs and implement local labour condition needs, assuring a safe and healthy work place for employees
• Adhere to legislation and remain compliant

HR Transactional Activities
• See to a flawless execution of payroll and HR administration activities

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Human Resources
- Strong knowledge of current employment laws and regulations
- Excellent written and spoken English
