Responsibilities
Role Purpose
Senior Financial Analyst, Film System-Finance Accounting, is a critical support role who will work with the Manager, Subconsolidation Accounting and Reporting, to operationalize newly established principles and best practices that facilitate the effective maintenance of business-critical Film title master data, improving the accuracy of title-related business and financial data and efficiency of the financial reporting cycle.

The entire Film title population is 30,000+ and the tracked title population (films within the 10 year ''ultimate'' period) is approximately 1,500 titles in any given year.

Activities of this role will be directed by the Manager to ensure strong master data governance through maintaining and optimizing key Film master data processes and practices as well as coordinating across key master data stakeholders including an internal cross-functional community known as the Master Data Network.

Responsibilities will include periodic review of tracked titles to ensure appropriateness and consistency of attributes and other key details including system set-up and mapping, monitoring and correction of appropriateness of individuals involved in key master data processes, identification of master data conflicts, and supporting periodic cross-functional master data clean-up initiatives. Further responsibilities will include support for various process, system, and special projects including maintaining related forms, configuring unique contracts, etc.
Overall role is coordination, monitoring, and influence-oriented with the underlying data being maintained and owned by others across the Master Data Network.
Over time the role may expand the scope of responsibilities beyond Film.

Due to the intermittent nature of master data workload, a supplementary priority of the role will be participation in peak-period operations of the Film Headquarters Controllership team. This includes involvement in a range of accounting, finance and consolidation matters for the Filmed Entertainment Segment, which ultimately relate to supporting financial reporting obligations to NBCUniversal Corporate and external parties.

The role is in a fast-paced headquarters environment, interfaces with teams in other functions and in some cases works with individuals based in other domestic and international locations. The role has abundant opportunities for growth
