Role

The People Analytics & Reporting team identifies insights about the NBCUniversal workforce and provides critical analytical support to ensure that NBCUniversal remains a great place to work and thrive. The People Analytics & Reporting team is part of the larger HR Operations team within Corporate HR which reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, the Senior Analyst, People Analytics will be responsible for data cleansing, data modeling, analysis of data and will utilize various People data sources to generate actionable solutions to queries raised by our business and HR leaders. The Senior Analyst, People Analytics will have an inquisitive mindset, an ability to tell a meaningful story using visualizations, and proven knowledge of statistical analysis. This role will report to the Director of People Analytics.

Responsibilities
• Translate business requirements, develop hypotheses and present trends/analysis with easy to understand visualizations and graphics, using both BI tools and basic MS products such as Excel and Power Point
• Support the People Analytics and Reporting team with data cleansing, data modelling and analysis of data
• Program and build scripts (e.g. using SQL or Python) to combine and interrogate structured and unstructured data sets
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure data integrity for accurate analysis
• Conduct statistical analysis to validate the relevance and correlation of different data sets
• Oversee Microsoft Workplace Analytics/Viva Insights administration and analysis of collaboration and organizational network data
• Work with IT/data engineering teams to improve existing and develop new data models and dashboards
• Partner with People Analytics and Reporting team to transition relevant ad-hoc analyses into operational dashboards
• Review external market research for relevant best practices and trends in the marketplace

Qualifications/Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or related field such as data analytics, business analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics, or statistics
• 3+ years of experience in an analytics/quantitative role, preferably in HR
• 2+ years of experience using BI Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Visier, Domo, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience with statistical/analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
• Advanced visualization skills with the ability to tell a compelling story with data
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
