Responsibilities

The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for reporting viewership performance and analyzing advertiser campaigns, and this person will work with Insights & Research managers and directors to position NBCU against the competition within the sports & media landscape. Additionally, this role will contribute towards greater ad sales initiatives for the NBC Sports Group, including primary research, and build relationships with internal constituencies (e.g., sales and marketing).

Successful candidates will have a passion for sports, marketing and media, as well as an interest in how fans are consuming sports across TV, streaming and social platforms. Candidates must have experience using research and analytics to develop actionable business insights.

Responsibilities
• Support Sports & Olympics Insights & Research teams in the creation of detailed analyses, reports, presentations, and marketing/sales materials covering the properties that are broadcast across NBCUniversal
• Utilize both syndicated and custom research tools to effectively position sports and platforms across linear and streaming to the advertising community
• Develop property and audience insights to support B2B marketing opportunities
• Demonstrate advertisers' return on investing in media and sponsorship, using campaign results
• Analyze competitive spending & marketing patterns
• Respond to requests from across the Ad Sales & Partnerships organization, as necessary
• Partner with stakeholders both inside and outside Ad Sales & Partnerships to support business needs

Qualifications
• 1+ years of research experience at a media company, agency or vendor
• Bachelor's degree
• Expertise in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong quantitative skills, including both analytical abilities as well as media math proficiency
• Ability to distill data from a variety of sources into clear data-driven insights
• Adept in some cross-platform audience measurement systems (e.g., Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Lake 5, comScore, etc.)
• Proficient in any consumer data platforms (e.g. YouGov, MRI-Simmons, etc.)
• Must be able to work in NYC. Hybrid schedule onsite Tuesday - Thursday, remote Monday and Friday

Desired Characteristics
• Strategic thinker with a deep interest in and familiarity with sports, media, analytics and/or marketing
• Primary research experience is a plus
• Attention to detail

• Hunger to uncover insights in addition to reporting data
• Team player with the ability to deliver on different assignments/projects in a timely manner
• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain relationships with team and internal/external partners
• Comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY in a hybrid model - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on-site, Monday and Friday remote
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Salary Range: $70,000 - 80,000
