Job Purpose
The Direct to Scale Performance Sales Planner is primarily responsible for supporting the Account Executive(s) selling linear and digital products across NBCU portfolio of products and brands. The Sales Planner builds plans, monitors inventory, maintains existing digital and linear deals and is the liaison between sales stakeholders, support teams as well as clients and agency partners. The Planner will provide account executives, clients and agency partners strategic solutions for maintaining & growing revenue across our suite of linear and digital products. The Performance Planner mentors assigned assistant(s) and develops a solid understanding of the nuances within the portfolio of IP.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare, revise and maintain linear and digital performance sales schedules that maximize the use of inventory while fulfilling agency/client requirements. This includes creation of client specific presentations, PowerPoint decks and excel spreadsheets.
• Partner with Sales, Planning, Comm Ops, Research and Marketing to ensure sold schedules run as ordered including all media/sponsorship elements. Review inventory reports to manage sellout levels to offer solutions to AE/agencies in order to keep revenue in-house
• Work closely with Planning to coordinate avails/pricing thresholds
• Deal Maintenance: work closely with Sales and Commercial Ops to manage all schedules and ensure revenue maximization
• Account Prospecting: Utilize sales tools to prospect new business and help identify target accounts
• Account Servicing: communicate directly with appropriate agency counterparts - serve as backup contact for AE
• Sales Assistant Mentoring: Develop and guide Assistant(s) in all aspects of their support role on a continual basis
• Lead and coordinate special projects & assignments, including researching client and account information
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 18 months related experience in media sales or buying
• Digital and/or programmatic experience is a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
• Strong knowledge of media math and audience metrics
• Ability to synthesize ideas from group discussions and articulate them verbally/in writing
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully operate within a large organization, effectively communicating with executives, interdepartmental teams and external clients
• Adaptable in the face of constant change and ability to perform at a high level; identifying solutions when faced with challenges
• Analytical / strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, able to initiate change and motivate innovation and creativity
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
