Responsibilities

Job Duties
• Enterprise news stories
• Gather, write and produce material in fair, accurate and balanced manner
• Provide news on-air and on other platforms as assigned from studio and field locations
• Anchor shows as assigned
• Create, report and help produce news specials and packages, based on either breaking news or on pre-planned stories
• Establish sources, find and execute news investigations, build and maintain strong list of story ideas on a year-round basis
• Active community involvement
• Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local news stories

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a television reporter and anchor
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
• Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols in select work settings or where jurisdictionally mandated.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

• Solid digital shooting skills
• Experience working with desktop computers and exposure to laptop editing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally and build relationships and sources
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and act as a team player
• Experience utilizing social media as a news gathering/reporting tool
• Spanish language skills a plus
