Responsibilities
Role Purpose:
This position is an integral part of the Studio Operations team. Candidate is responsible for supporting the production coordination needs of the Golf Channel News team both in Studio and in conjunction with stakeholders at remote events to help facilitate all aspects of event logistics.
This position reports to the Director of Operations with a dotted line to Golf News Producers and will be responsible for managing logistics for the Golf Channel News and Studio Operation based at NBC Sports headquarters.

Responsibilities:
• Act as an effective communication conduit between News Production Staff, Remote Operations Management, Vendors and Building Facilitators.
• The Production Manager is responsible for managing a yearly budget of upwards of $11M, and will need to grow and maintain a strong relationship with the Networks Coordinating Producer and the Finance Team. Cost Tracking and budget management are a big part of this role.
• Daily studio responsibilities include Production Schedules, Managing Talent Schedules (along with travel, transportation and accommodations). Hair/ Makeup Schedules in alignment with other productions in the building, Onsite catering (when needed), and Covid 19 Protocols.
• The Production Manager coordinates with Remote PM's and or tournament personnel regarding Reporter Package Logistics and onsite needs (Credentials, Golf carts, Work Space, payroll etc).
• Coordinates Tournament needs in Broadcast facility (freelance staffing in conjunction with HR, IT needs, workspace, meeting coordination and prep work).
• Talent Tracking and Payroll play an important role in keeping the Network running smoothly and will fall under Production Manager's Scope.
• Production manager is responsible for booking/ communicating all logistics for Talent, Freelance hires, and ENG crews onsite.
• This role liases with many different partners (HR, Finance, Production, Talent, Engineering, IT & Vendors), so organization and communication are key.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years' experience working in Production Management/ Operations for Live Events and or Studio related Broadcasts
• Excellent Communication Skills and organization; ability to navigate Talent challenges
• Proven understanding of the production process (start to finish) regarding logistics and the nature of live Sporting Events..
• Proven understanding of hiring, union affiliations as well as all procedures that are needed for various production projects in the current Covid and post Covid environment.
• Must have a proven ability to work effectively with colleagues and stake holders at all levels within the internal organization and with those outside of the organization.
• Understanding of all Microsoft platforms and excel
• Must be willing and quickly able to learn internal systems (Scheduling, Payroll etc).

Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to work full time in at Stamford Facility, work late and across weekends and on short notice as needed.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
