The Position
NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we're building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.
The Platform Solutions team within Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for supporting NBCUniversal's day-to-day advertising business by building, enhancing, and scaling internal products, as well as maintaining and streamlining operational workflows and leading master data management (MDM), with a particular focus on driving efficiencies through automation. We are currently seeking a product manager to build business solutions for NBCU Planning, Inventory, Account Services, Finance and Sales Operations teams.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative person who is passionate about media and advertising innovation, cares about customers, and understands the value of good user experiences.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Platform Solutions, the person in this role will:
• Build and foster professional relationships with customers to understand their needs and priorities
• Collaborate with other product managers to define products that meet customer needs and priorities
• Gather and synthesize detailed product requirements, that align to strategic product roadmaps, for review and approval from customers
• Advocate for customer needs with product and engineering partners, ensuring products and their features are clearly understood and documented
• Manage product requirements throughout the product development lifecycle and engage customers to confirm, clarify, and validate when appropriate
• Engage customers for acceptance testing, product demonstrations, and go-to-market activities (e.g., product training, etc.)
• Work closely with product team, technical product team and engineering

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in product management, or related field
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable in cross-functional environments
• Fluency with data; can interpret market dynamics and user behaviors, measure product key metrics, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
• Experience with product management tools (e.g., Roadmunk, Aha, etc.)
• Experience with work management and documentation tools, preferably Jira and Confluence
• Proven ability to understand and communicate using technical language
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working for a large-scale media company, specifically within / supporting Advertising Sales
• Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical
• Proven detail orientation skills with high sense of accountability and integrity while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to think proactively and manage multiple projects
• Proven ability to enhance skillsets of other team members
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
