Job Description

Responsibilities
The Product Manager, FinTech responsible for the product planning, execution and delivery of NBC Sports Next's FinTech capabilities. This includes, but is not limited to: gathering product requirements, writing user stories based upon requirements, and working collaboratively with engineering, sales, support and finance to ensure that the FinTech platform meets agreed upon goals and functionality. This role must also ensure that the platform is aligned with NBC Sports Next's overall business strategy. In delivering the key responsibilities of the role the Product Manager will;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Support, Finance, and other internal and external teams as needed to develop, steer, and execute product roadmap.
• Define and execute on portfolio strategy and tactical roadmap, including the creation of user requirements/stories based on both internal and external feedback. Also includes overseeing prioritization of features and functionality, and, ongoing grooming of product backlog.
• Create and develop user documentation for new and existing features within the portfolio.
• Lead agile product ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming and prioritization.
• Define and analyze metrics to guide product development.
• Align teams on a shared vision and execute on that vision.
• Work closely with all key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure product fit.
• Undertake other duties within the scope of the role as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years experience of agile product management.
• Deep understanding of a product's life cycle, with a specific focus on the development and implementation phases.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions upon analysis.
• Solid background in creating/writing user stories and requirements.
• Experience managing and running a scrum team and associated ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-up, sprint retrospectives).
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas clearly and concisely with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in reporting on project status to senior management.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skill, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to think and work autonomously.

Desired Characteristics
• Experience with collaboration/planning tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience working with finance and accounting.
• Excellent data analysis and database/SQL knowledge
• Experience in working with customer facing reporting
• Some experience with UX design or experience with user interface design and wireframing tools such as Sketch
• Experience with online payments, Fintech, and Point-of-Sale technology/industry
• Experience working with cloud-based technology
• Experience working with collaboration software. E.g., Jira, Confluence, Slack, Teams, Etc…
