Job Description

NBC4 Sports is looking for a talented producer to create content for digital, social and broadcast platforms. In this new role, the producer will develop original content focusing on Los Angeles sports news, teams and athletes with the primary goal of reaching today's ever-growing digital audience.

Responsibilities
• Must be able to conceive, shoot, edit and post creative content for digital and social media consumption.
• Repurpose and creatively repackage existing NBC4 Sports broadcast content for digital use.
• Produce original broadcast content for television news segments.
• Production of entire newscast sports segments, which includes content conceptualization, story development, script writing, video editing and graphic production.
• Collaborate with sports producers, digital producers, anchors and reporters.

Conducts quality control checking of video/web links.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast television production

Additional Job Requirements
• Experience in developing social and digital content
• Fluency in the culture of social and digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Netflix, Roku)
• Strong knowledge of the Los Angeles sports market, teams and athletes
• This is an in-person position with a 40-hour work week in Universal City, CA
• Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines in a live TV environment
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Bilingual in English and Spanish desired but not required
