ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Reporting in to the International Payroll Director, based in London, this role is responsible for assisting in payrolls across the International regions, UK, EMEA alongside the wider International payroll team responsible for processing all global payrolls outside the US. The International remit currently includes 24 countries and 77 payrolls.

This role is the key payroll contact for the processes, legislation and compliance for the UK entities and responsible for relationship building, providing support to the wider international team within EMEA and geographies as well as central reporting and ad hoc implementation if required

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage end to end processes within team monthly payrolls for 24 countries across UK, EMEA regions.
• Work as a team member on multiple improvement projects and Year-End tasks.
• To ensure that NBCU is compliant with employment law and tax legislation
• Support the business with month end and year end tasks and filings
• Responsible for safeguarding payroll procedures and for ensuring that internal controls are adhered to at all times.
• Document payroll procedures to a high level of standard
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Provide project management support for the International Payroll team

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Outstanding knowledge of ADP Freedom/ ADP Streamline
• Fluent in English
• Extensive UK knowledge
• P11Ds and PSA submission experience
• UK pension legislation understanding
• Relevant experience in a multi country role; media industry preferred but not essential
• ADP Freedom and Streamline experience
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley legislation would be beneficial
• Strong analytical, problem solving & communication skills
• Solid business perspective, strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
• Previous exposure to International payrolls
• Ability to work to tight deadlines

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Additional languages would be an advantage but not essential
• Good relationship building skills
• Ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural and business environments
• SAP experience not essential
• CIPP qualified not essential
• Expatriate payroll previous exposure
